    Simulation Fridays - Season 6!

A 4-Part Webinar Series on Cutting-Edge Simulation Applications with Ansys Join us for 4 Fridays June 2026. Learn how real engineers solve real challenges faster, smarter, and more accurately with Ansys.

New topic every week - 15 minutes per episode - Available also on demand

    Episode 1 - June 5, 2026

Mesh Connection Methods in Ansys Mechanical

    • Presented by: Elly Vlahou Gomez, Application Engineer, Simtec
    • Date & Time: Friday, June 5, 2026 - 14:00 CET

Connecting complex structural models can be one of the most time‑consuming parts of simulation setup. This webinar introduces mesh connection methods in Ansys Mechanical and shows how connectivity can be handled efficiently at the mesh level. Attendees will learn how mesh based approaches reduce CAD preprocessing effort while remaining robust for large structural models. Real world examples and performance results highlight the practical benefits of these methods.

    Episode 2 - June 12, 2026

Computationally Affordable Fan Noise Simulation Using Fluent

    • Presented by: Morteza Monfaredi, Application Engineer, Simtec
    • Date & Time: Friday, June 12, 2026 - 14:00 CET

Aeroacoustic simulations based on URANS, DES, or LES are often computationally expensive and time-consuming for industrial fan noise prediction. This webinar addresses how engineers can obtain useful tonal noise predictions from steady-state CFD simulations, enabling faster design evaluations and reduced computational cost.

    Episode 3 - June 19, 2026

Custom Electric Machine Design Analysis Using Ansys Motor-CAD Adaptive Templates

    • Presented by: Jurij Strgulec, Application Engineer, Simtec
    • Date & Time: Friday, June 19, 2026 - 14:00 CET

This webinar introduces Adaptive Templates and demonstrates an example workflow. Motor-CAD simplifies the electromagnetic design of electric motors using its parameterised standard template geometries. However, for the design of models with geometries that cannot be modeled using Standard Templates, Motor-CAD provides Adaptive Templates. By using Adaptive Templates users can generate their own geometric parameterisations from scratch or based upon our Standard Templates. Using Adaptive Templates engineers can generate their own geometric parameterisations using a Python script.

    Episode 4 - June 26, 2026

Rapid Engineering Design with Discovery Simulation

    • Presented by: Konstantinos Ioakimidis, Sr. Application Engineer, Simtec
    • Date & Time: Friday, June 26, 2026 - 14:00 CET

In this demonstration, we are evaluating the early-stage design of a car's HVAC duct network and cabin airflow distribution. Starting with a basic vehicle cabin CAD model, we will instantly simulate how the air travels from the main blower, splits through the dashboard geometry, and exits out of the vents into the passenger cabin.
